I have a big picture book which has lots of photographs of birds, animals, things & activities.As such I prefer spending my time playing with my toys and in the garden but at times I really feel like snuggling into mommy, so out comes my big green picture book!
I sit in mama’s lap and she reads out loudly to me. As we turn the pages slowly, mama points out things to me, tells me their names, colors and we also sing songs and make loud animal and bird sounds.
I have learnt so many things because of this. Mama got me an aeroplane and showed me how it flies, now everytime she shows me the picture I can pick the toy and bring it to her. We play the animal game by pointing out all animals and singing the “Old Mc Donald Song”. I giggle and laugh as mama sings and plays with me. It is so much fun…
At times she also lets me turn pages and I squeal with enjoyment. I have learnt the birthday song and everytime mommy points out the cake and sings, I clap my hands together as she has taught me.
Reading the book is enjoyable and mom has told me she will be getting me more books so that we can read together. But the best part is sitting in mama’s lap and cuddling her and laughing together. I give her lots of kisses after that!
