My little boy starts school today. He is so excited about it as I dress him up in his little white uniform.He is thrilled to have a new dress to wear and dances around on the bed in enthusiasm. As I pack his bags, he wants to check out everything. I write his name on his ID card and try to pin it up on his dress, he doesn't like this as it is spoiling his new clothes. He pulls and throws it away as I smile down at him. I help him put on his white socks and clean his shoes till they shine, prim and proper he is all dressed for school.
As we leave for school, I am a bit nervous and apprehensive. I will be leaving him alone with a crowd of strangers. As he settles down in this new environment, he will build new friends and new confidates. A favourite teacher to guide him along the way and take care of him as I am away. He will pick up many new things at school and learn many new lessons, develop new habits and engage his curosity to the maximum. Away from home, in a new world my son will grow and become a new person.
Each day as I ask you what did you learn today, you may shrug your shoulders and walk away or excitedly share with me some stories for the day. I look forward to all these moments and hope you have a lovely and fun filled journey ahead.
I walk you down to school and you give me a little peck on the cheek as I carry you along. I love you my little boy and together we being a new phase in your life singing our favourite song..."Lets go to the school, learn some lessons!!! La La La....Lets go to the school right now!"
